Working with Db2 database


This section discusses working with the Db2 database. You can view the Db2 database under the DATABASES view.

To add a Db2 filter

  1. In the DATABASES view, expand the HCI connection, right-click on Db2 and select Add Filter or click + next to Db2.
  2. From the SSID list, select the SSID.
  3. Enter the file creator ID.
  4. Enter the table name.
  5. (Optional) Enter the filter name. The filter name must be up to 40 characters. If you have not provided the filter name then the default format of the filter will be <SSID>:<Creator ID>:<Table name>. The tables are grouped as per the name of the creators and you can view these groups as <SSID>:<Creator ID>. Expand the group to view the respective tables under it.

To edit a Db2 filter

  1. In the DATABASES view, expand the HCI connection, right-click the filter name present under Db2 and click Edit.
  2. In the Edit Filter field, edit the SSID, Creator ID, table name, and filter name as required.
  3. Press Enter to save your changes.

To delete a Db2 filter

Right-click on the filter name and click Delete. A confirmation message is displayed to delete the filter.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
