Establishing Code Pipeline connection
This topic describes how to establish a connection and define a runtime configuration for Code Pipeline on the mainframe.
To establish a connection to Code Pipeline
- On the VS Code application, click Manage ( Settings.
- In the Search settings field, start typing Code Pipeline: HCI Connection Name and you will see the Code Pipeline: HCI Connection Name field.
- In the Code Pipeline: HCI Connection Name field, enter the HCI connection name where Code Pipeline is configured.
To define a runtime configuration for Code Pipeline
A runtime configuration represents a group of settings (such as data set allocations, site customizations, skeleton JCL statements, Clists) that you can apply to a Code Pipeline server. A Code Pipeline server can have multiple runtime configurations, but only one can be active at a time.
- On the VS Code application, click Manage Settings.
- In the Search settings field, e Code Pipeline: Runtime Configuration and you will see the Code Pipeline: Runtime Configuration field.
- In the Code Pipeline: Runtime Configuration field, enter the name of a runtime configuration. Leave the field blank to use the default runtime configuration for this Code Pipeline server.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
