Generating diagnostics report

You can generate a diagnostics report for all the BMC AMI DevX Workbench for VS Code extensions using the DevX Explorer: Generate Diagnostics Report command.

This report helps to diagnose issues related to the usage of the product.

To generate the diagnostics report

  1. From the menu bar, click View and then click Command Palette. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+P to open the command palette.
  2. In the command palette, start typing the diagnostics report. You can view the DevX Explorer: Generate Diagnostics Report command in the list.
  3. Select DevX Explorer: Generate Diagnostics Report to generate the report. VS Code prompts you with the file saved location.

  4. Select Show in folder to open the directory where you can find .diag file containing the diagnostics report.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
