We are releasing version 23.4 of the BMC AMI DevX Workbench for VS Code product.

This section summarizes the changes or new features in this release.
BMC AMI DevX Workbench Code Pipeline
BMC AMI DevX Workbench for VS Code now supports the BMC AMI DevX Workbench Code Pipeline extension, which provides Agile source code management. Developers can use this to understand build, test, and promote mainframe code.
The extension contains the following views:
- Repository view: This view provides a list of your organization's components. In this view, you can perform the following actions:
- Add a repository based on stream, application, sub-application, and level
- Filter components based on name and type
- Add components to an assignment
- Browse a component’s content
- Assignment view: In this view, you can perform the following actions:
- Add a new assignment
- View an assignment by finding based on the assignment ID, recently used assignments, or the current user’s assignments
- Display a list of all tasks added to an assignment with their name, type, status, and level
- Add or check out a task based on a specific version
- Browse or edit a task
- Edit source with support for copybook references
- Generate a task and view the job output (for example, a compile listing)
- Promote a task
- Delete a task from the assignment
- Clean up a task
- Regress a task
BMC AMI DevX Workbench Explorer
You can use Workbench Explorer to perform the following actions:
- Preserve sort order in Job Explorer
- Submit JCL from an editor
- See 15 most recent searches
- Added SmartCard integration
- Option provided to select credential provider while creating HCI connection with X.509 certificates or user ID and password.
- Choose certificates while authenticate to the HCI connection
BMC AMI DevX Workbench Code Debug
You can use Workbench Code Debug to perform the following actions:
- Identify a suspended debug session when source code is not attached. You can also access logs.
- View previous and current line variables while debugging
- Workbench Code Debug also contains the following features:
- Enhanced way to create CICS debug configuration
- CICS trap by application
- CICS trap by data

To download this version of the product from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website, follow these steps:
Go toProduct Downloads in BMC Support Central.
- Locate the product name by browsing or searching in the Search for Product field. If you have marked the product as a favorite, click Favorites.
- Under the product name, click the box containing the required supported version.
- Select the required files and click Download.
