Setting DevXExplorer: Open Mode

DevX Explorer provides control over how you want to open the data set and members in the explorer. To access this option, click Settings > User > Extensions > DevX Explorer > DevX Explorer: Open Mode.

You can view the following options:

  • browse: The file always opens in browse mode. This is the default mode.
  • edit: The file opens in edit mode. You can see the lock icon (image2022-8-8_15-27-28.png) next to the file.
  • prompt: When you open any file, you see a quick pick to select the mode either browse or edit to open the file.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
