Tutorial: Add a Component to the Repository with the Eclipse Client

Components can also be added to and edited in the repository from the Eclipse client. There are two ways of adding a component depending on the availability of the source code in Eclipse. When the source code is available in Eclipse the built-in parser will be used to analyze the source code and when the source code is only available at the mainframe, the mainframe parser will be used from Eclipse. Adding a component to the repository from the source code is done by right-clicking at the source file and choosing  > Create Component. Adding a component to the repository without the source code in Eclipse is done from the Repository view.

Program names must be unique within a specific environment so it might not be possible to do the final Create, but all the preparation can be made.
