Welcome to Host Explorer

Host Explorer provides convenient navigation of mainframe resources (datasets, PDS members, DDIO source, and so on) as well as the ability to perform day-to-day operations on them. Host Explorer also provides navigation for local Windows files and various types of distributed relational databases.

Important

To access mainframe data using Host Explorer, you must define a Host Communication Interface (HCI) connection and connect  or Eclipse/RDz to a mainframe system.
