Environment tab

If the test scenario includes a Non-virtualized test element, the connection section is labelled Environment Login, otherwise it's Host connection. Credentials will be required through the host connection authentication dialog after clicking OK.

Host

Select the Host connection on which to execute the test scenario. Use the Configure button to ADD or EDIT the HCI connection.

Environment

The Environment combo box will only show when there are Functional Test elements in the test scenario. Select the Environment you are using.

Web Service Security Endpoints

This option only appears if the test scenario contains web service calls that require authorization. Then each endpoint must have a password specified. The userid is defined at the web service component.

The password is saved in the Equinox secure storage.

Logging Level

The logging level determines the level of details you will see in the Console while the test scenario is executing. Only select TRACE or ALL in special circumstances as it generates a lot of data.

Use repository for Component data

This option is only displayed when there are Functional Test elements in the test scenario.

By default, the Use repository for Component data check box is checked if your Preferences settings have it checked as well (see also Repository Server). This means that runtime information such as load library location for all Components used in the test scenario will be retrieved from the Repository Server. Runtime data for components can be overridden in the dialog under the Functional-Test-tab.

Unchecked, this option means that the repository will not be contacted, which means that you can execute Functional and Unit Test elements for programs that don't have to be defined as Components in the repository. Instead you specify the required runtime parameters directly in this dialog box. This is useful especially for using Virtualized Test elements and for test cases generated by Code Debug where you don't want to add a component to the repository.
