Migrate Repository

Important

Before migrating a Sybase repository, the following database Options must be set to on. When the migration is done, they can be changed back to their original settings.

  • ddl in tran
  • select into/bulkcopy/pllsort

Repository migration provides the ability to upgrade existing repositories to the latest level supported by the server. In most cases, the repository must match the server level. A repository is marked with an X to indicate when migration is required. Only a Data Privacy Administrator can perform repository migration.

To migrate a repository:

  1. IMPORTANT: Have your system administrator back up your repository (database) before migrating.
  2. In the Resource Administration stack bar, select Manage Data Privacy Repositories. This opens the Manage Data Privacy Repositories view.
  3. From the list of repositories, select the repository to be migrated and click Migrate.
  4. A message will appear stating that the repository will upgrade the database to be compatible with the installed release of the File-AID Services server. Click OK to continue.
  5. After the migration is complete, you will get a migration completed message. Click OK to return to the Manage Data Privacy Repositories view.
