Create New Total Test Scenario

A Total Test Scenario is a plain file inside a project in Eclipse. Tests can be placed in this project but can also be placed in other project types as well.

To create a new Total Test Scenario complete the following:

  1. Create a new project "MyFirstProject" with the Total Test folders under Test Folder "MyTests" (see Creating-a-Total-Test-Project for the steps).
  2. Right-click on the MyTests folder in the newly created project.
  3. Select File > New > Other > BMC > BMC AMI DevX Total Test > Total Test Scenario.
  4. Click Next >.
  5. In the Create New Total Test Scenario dialog box, confirm that the Folder field shows the desired project and test folder. Otherwise, use the Browse button to select another project folder.
  6. In the File name field, type the name for the new test scenario (default is TestScenario1). It must be unique for the project.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. A new blank Total Test Scenario (filename.scenario) is created in the Scenarios folder and opens in the Test Scenario Editor.
