Importing a File-AID/EX XML File

If File-AID/EX is installed on your PC, you can import application relationships from File-AID/EX XML files and visualize them in the Data Visualizer..

File-AID/EX also includes the option to save an extract specification as XML. Relationships stored within these files can also be imported and visualized in the Data Visualizer.

For both application relationship and extract specification XML files, the content of the XML file is read, and both related and unrelated information is formatted as required for the Data Visualizer.

To import a File-AID/EX XML file

  1. In the Import view, click File-AID/EX to view the Import source list.
  2. From the Import source list, select XML file and click Import.
  3. In the Open dialog box, browse to and select the desired saved XML file, then click Open. The XML file is imported into the Data Visualizer.






 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
