Submit JCL

Use Submit JCL functionality to submit JCL for processing.

To submit JCL

1. From the Project Explorer view, right-click the desired component within a Code Pipeline project and select Code Pipeline>Submit JCL. The job is submitted and a dialog box appears stating that the job was successfully submitted.

   Warning

   Important

   This menu option is only available when the type is associated with the JCL programming language, as defined in the 

   Code Pipeline

    Maintenance Base Component Table. See the BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline Technical Reference Guide for details on how to associate a component type with a programming language.

2. To view the status of a submitted job, use JES Explorer. See the BMC-AMI-DevX-Workbench-Host-Explorer-User-Guide for information about JES Explorer.

   Optionally, set up automated job completion notification, which will notify you of the job's status via a pop-up, the Event History view, or both. See the BMC-AMI-DevX-Workbench-Host-Explorer-User-Guide for information about setting up notifications.
