Find a Component by Name or Type

In the Repository Explorer view, users can search by component name and/or type to find a component in any stream or application. This is particularly useful when the application is not known.

To find a component by name or type

  1. In the Repository Explorer view, do one of the following:

    • Click magglass.gif.
    • From the View menu, select Find Component.

The Find Component dialog box appears.

  2. Do either or both of the following:
    • In the Name field, enter the component name. The field is case-sensitive and allows a wildcard after the first position.
    • In the Type field, enter a valid component type. The field is case-sensitive and allows a wildcard after the first position.
  3. Press Enter or click Find. The dialog box populates with components that match the filter.
