Filter the List of Assignments or Releases

The Assignments Filter dialog box and the Releases Filter dialog box are used to filter the list of assignments or releases that appear in certain dialog boxes. By default, the lists are filtered by the user ID of the current user.

To filter the list of assignments or releases

1. When in the Add New Assignment dialog box, the Add Task dialog box, or the Modify Assignment dialog box, click Filter next to the container type to be filtered. The appropriate filter dialog box appears.

   Important

   • The fields on the filter dialog box default to the current values in the Containers Filter dialog box. After closing the Add New Assignment dialog box, the Add Task dialog box, or the Modify Assignment dialog box, the fields return to the default values from the Containers Filter dialog box.
   • Some dialog boxes have multiple Filter buttons, allowing users to filter on both assignments and releases. Click the Filter button next to the container type to be filtered.
2. Specify any filter criteria to be used to filter the list of assignments or releases in the original dialog box. For more information, see field definitions. The order of the fields varies between the dialog boxes.
3. Click OK. The original dialog box's list of assignments or releases shows only those that match the filter.
