Specify Default SYSOUT Print Class

Via a preference setting, users can specify the default SYSOUT print class to be used when creating new Code Debug launch configurations. This preference setting can be employed by other users through export/import functionality. The default is SYSOUT class A.

Important

This functionality applies to all launch configuration types with the exception of Code Debug CICS launch configurations.

Important

Existing launch configurations will continue to use the last saved SYSOUT print class indicated on that launch configuration's Log tab.

To specify the default SYSOUT print class

  1. From the Window menu, select Preferences.
  2. Toggle open the BMC node and select Code Debug.
  3. From the Print to SYSOUT class drop-down list, select the desired SYSOUT print class.
  4. Click OK. The selected SYSOUT print class will be used for new Code Debug launch configurations and appears on the Log tab of the launch configuration.

Important

This preference can be exported and imported by selecting File>Export>BMC>BMC Configuration Settings>Code Debug>General Settings.
