Components View


The Components view allows users to filter a list of components by one or more of the following:

  • Application
  • SubAppl
  • Component type
  • Component name
  • Application group

Important

No components appear in this view until a filter is entered.

To open the Components view

From the Window menu, select Show View>Other>Components.

To filter the Components view

  1. Enter filter text in the appropriate fields (Name, Type, Application, SubAppl, and/or Group).

    Warning

    Important

    The Name field is case-sensitive. Wildcards can be used in any field.

  2. Click Filter. The Components view refreshes based on the filter criteria.

To perform a quick search of the Components view

After filtering the view, in the Find bar, enter the text on which to search. The existing Components view contents are dynamically refreshed to show only the components that have a cell that contains the entered text.

To view deleted components

The feature to Show Deleted Components in the Components view will display the components based on the applied filter, either including or excluding the deleted components at the Prod level. By default, the deleted components are not visible. When the user selects Show Deleted Components, the deleted components are displayed and indicated by an showDeletedComponents (1).gificon.

To view deleted components in the Components view, do any of the following:

  • Click showDeletedComponents (1).gificon.
  • From the View menu, select the Show Deleted Components option.
    The Components view will refresh to display previously hidden removed components. The deleted components will be distinguished by anshowDeletedComponents (1).gif icon.

If required, users can deselect Show Deleted Components to hide previously displayed deleted components.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
