Rename resources

Resources such as files, sequential datasets, and PDS members can be easily renamed in Host Explorer.

To rename resources

1. In Host Explorer, right-click the desired resource(s) and select Rename. The Rename dialog box appears.

2. Click the New Name field for the resource and type a new name for the resource.

   Warning

   Important

   There is a limited number of characters allowed in this field so adjust the new name accordingly.

3. Click Rename. The resource is renamed. The results column of the Rename dialog box shows the results of the rename action.
4. Click Done.
