Rename a Data Privacy Rule
You can access your data privacy rules from the Rule List on the Rules tab of an open project. Renaming a rule will change the rule name in all places where the rule name is used. If the rule logic is invalid and unable to be parsed, the rule will not be renamed within the rule logic. The user role assigned determines who can rename a Data Privacy rule. For more information, see Manage-Security and Role-Authorizations.
To rename a data privacy rule:
- Select and open the desired repository and project from the Rules Explorer view.
- Click the Rules tab for the selected project.
- Select the rule you want to rename and click Edit. This opens the Edit Selected Rule dialog box. The Rule name field displays the current name of the rule.
- In the Rule name field, overtype the rule name with the desired new rule name.
Click Finish. This replaces the rule name wherever it is used, including the rule list and rule logic.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
