Directly Updating the Data Privacy Repository
The Data Privacy Repository Utility allows you to directly edit the project and translate table definitions that are defined in the repository and is useful when host, port, dataset, and schemas must be changed to allow a project to be executed in an environment other than the one where it was defined.
To edit a Data Privacy Repository:
- In the Rules Explorer view, right-click on an open repository and select Edit Data Privacy Repository. The Data Privacy Repository Utility appears listing the Project Definitions within the repository. The Project Definitions list contains information specified in Metadata Extensions and Coverage.
- To change a host, click in the Host column and choose a different host from the drop-down list.
- To change a dataset or schema, click in the Dataset/Schema column and overtype the displayed value. See Find/Replace below to change all values in the column for all projects.
- To change a member or table, click in the Member/Table column and overtype the displayed value. See Find/Replace below to change all values in the column for all projects.

The Error and Status columns display any error messages or status information associated with the listed project definitions and translate tables.
Find/Replace
You can use the Find/Replace dialog to change all values in the selected column for all projects.
To use Find/Replace in the Repository Utility:
- Click the
button. The Find/Replace dialog box appears. This dialog can operate on translate tables, projects, or both types of data.
Select the Apply to Translate Tables checkbox, the Apply to Projects checkbox, or both. The options available from the Change Column drop-down will be based on the selection of data to operate on.
The Find drop-down options list is built from existing data in the project and translate table's definitions. If you select a Host as a change column, the Replace list will be built from hosts defined in Host Explorer.
Click OK. Any changes to both Repository Utility tabs will be saved at the same time.
