Setting initial and exit breakpoints
You may set a breakpoint on the first executable statement in a called program without explicitly opening the source code for that program. This is called an initial breakpoint. Optionally, you may also set exit breakpoints for Code Debug TSO.
To set initial and exit breakpoints
- Select the Open DDIO tab. The CSECTs for the program are listed in the Load module field and any linked programs appear in the table.
- In the Open DDIO table, right-click the CSECT name and select the appropriate option:
- To set a breakpoint on the first executable statement of the program, select Set initial breakpoint.
- To set a breakpoint on the exiting statement, select Set initial and exit breakpoints. This option is available for Code Debug TSO only and requires the Enable Code Debug/TSO exit breakpoints check box on the Code Debug Preferences dialog box to be selected.
