Value Alignment
Value alignment is a choice that is available when creating a data element. Value alignment options can be overridden within the source data identifiers.
Value alignment options apply during outbound processing and control how a disguised value is positioned within a source field.
The available options for value alignment are determined by the Processing Type selected for the data element. Choices are mutually exclusive meaning only one choice can be made. The first choice is the default.
For a TEXT, DATE, or CUSTOM processing type, you can choose:
- Left justify and blank fill.
- Right justify and blank fill.
For a NUMERIC processing type, you can choose:
- Right justify and zero fill.
- Right justify and blank fill.
