Total Test Projects Upgrade Window

When trying to open a project component from an earlier version, for example, a structure or stub, you may receive an upgrade message in the editor, for example, Project D0015000 needs to be upgraded.

The project upgrade will update all components of the project, not just the selected component.

  1. Click the Upgrade project button in the top right corner of the Editor window to start the upgrade.
    A brief message informs you when the upgrade has completed.
  2. The component opens in the Editor IMMEDIATELY after the message.

Important

  • Don’t click on the Open with Text Editor as this will change the default Editor from a Total Test Editor to a Text Editor and it will display underlying XML data which won’t make sense. If this happens right click on the file and select Open with… and then choose the appropriate Total Test Editor, for example, Test Stub Editor or Test Scenario Editor, rather than Text Editor.
  • Downgrading a Test Project from a newer version to an older version is not supported.
