Generate a Test Suite


A test suite can be generated from a project folder. It will open a wizard that, at completion, will find all relevant test scenarios and create and open a test suite containing the selected test scenarios.

To generate a test suite:

  1. Right-click on a folder or project and choose New > Total Test Suite. This will open the New Total Test Suite dialog box.
  2. Select the scenarios to be added to the test suite. The listed scenarios are all scenarios under the selected folder. By default, all scenarios should be selected.
  3. Create a name for the test suite.
  4. Check the Halt execution at test scenario fail box if the test suite should stop executing when one test scenario fails.
  5. Click OK. A test suite file is generated and opened. 

If you followed the above wizard you can now open, edit and execute the test suite. The following figure depicts an example of a test suite. It is possible to remove, reorder, and add files from the Total Test Scenarios list by using the Remove, Add, Up and Down buttons in the editor. Scenarios can also be added by dragging and dropping into the test suite.
