Task 4 Install Total Test Workbench for Eclipse Client

You can install the Total Test Eclipse client into Workbench for Eclipse with the Workbench for Eclipse installer or into an existing Eclipse or IDz client with a p2 repository. For more information, see BMC AMI DevX Workbench for Eclipse Installation Guide.

After installing CES and the Repository server in Task 3, set up the Functional Test Eclipse client to connect to the repository server. For more information, see Set Total Test Preferences.

Follow these steps:

  1. Set up Db2 database access by selecting Windows > Preferences > BMC  > Total Test > Functional Test > Folder with database jar files.
  2. Set up using the Total Test Repository Server by selecting Windows > Preferences > BMC > Total Test > Repository Server.

    Tip

Starting with Release 20.05.01, Total Test uses the CES authentication to access the Total Test Repository Server if you are also using CES Release 20.05.01 or later.

  3. Validate the CES connection to determine the installed CES Release. If it is 20.05 or later, you are ready to proceed.
    • If the CES release is earlier than 20.05, verify that you entered the Alternate repository server URL.

      https://<host>:<port>/totaltestapi/

    • Click Refresh token to get authorization from the server.
