Installing z/OS Agent
- Install or update
Release 17.02.00 with all current maintenance applied.
Follow the instructions in the BMC Installer Mainframe Products SMP/E Installation Guide to transfer and installor apply maintenance. Once completed, follow the instructions in the Enterprise Common Components Installation and Configuration Guide to configure and deploy
, including importing your
license keys into the BMC AMI License Management System (LMS).
- After the SMP/E install and other ECC configurations, run the following Xatz configuration:
- Customize XAUPDCSD in SLCXCNTL for updating CICS CSD.
Modify ØhlqØ.SLCXCNTL(XATZSYSD) for Non-virtualized Test (Functional Test) symbolics values used by z/OS SENU Jobs.
- APF Authorize ØhlqØ.SLCXAUTH.
- Modify ØhlqØ.SLCXCNTL(XATZ00) for Functional Test startup parameters.
Modify the JCL Skeleton in ØhlqØ.SLCXSENU with your custom changes done for V1.4.1 or V2.0.0. If you have any customizations in V1.4.1 or V2.0.0 SXATPROC, apply these to V17.02.00 SLCXCNTL.
Update/Start the CMSC using definition in XATZ00
Now you should be able to start
V17.02.00.
Note that you can be running two or more differentversions on the same system, if they use different port numbers. A CICS, however, can only run one version. A CICS version V1.4.1 or V2.0.0 can run under a z/OS Agent V17.02.00, but some features, like CICS virtualization, will be disabled.
