Task 2 Install and configure MongoDB

We recommend installing and configuring MongoDB before installing Total Test repository server.

Set up these tasks:

  1.  Download MongoDB from https://www.mongodb.com/download-center/community and follow the installation instructions at https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/administration/install-community/ and BMC AMI Web Products Installation and Configuration Guide.

    Tip

    If you are installing MongoDB on a different server than CES, change the MongoDB configuration file after the installation so that MongoDB listens to requests from outside. By default, MongoDB listens to requests from the localhost only. For more information, see the MongoDB appendix in the CES installation document.

  2. (Optional) Configure authentication and SSL.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
