Step 5—Confirm Delete Processing Options


File-AID/RDX displays the Delete Processing Options screen illustrated in the following figure after you have specified the Delete Request file in the Save Delete Request screen.

Important

The message Request saved shows you that the Delete Request file has been saved. Notice also that the Save a Request field has changed back to NO as you just saved the Delete request. Each time you set the field to YES you have the option of creating another saved delete request or replacing the existing request.

Field Names and Descriptions

The following list describes all of the fields on this screen.

FIELD

DESCRIPTION

Extract File Name

Displays the name of the extract file on which you base the delete.

Maximum Rows to Discard

Indicate the maximum number of errors encountered before processing stops.

Save Discarded Rows

Indicate whether rows that could not be deleted should be saved.

File for Discarded Rows

Specify the name of the file to which discarded rows will be saved.

Specify Processing Options Area:

Specify the Db2 processing options to be used when deleting Db2 data. This section only displays when there are Db2 objects in the extract file.

Commit Every Nth Row

Indicate the number of rows File-AID/RDX should insert or update before it performs a Db2 COMMIT.

Save a Request

Specify whether or not to save the delete request to a request file. When Yes, File-AID/RDX presents the Save Delete Request panel where you identify the delete request file to save your request to.
