Checkpoint data file
When Enable Checkpoint/Resumption is set to Y (see Checkpoint/Resumption ) for an extract request, File-AID/RDX captures the File-AID/RDX internal control blocks, chase keys, key trees, etc., that are required for resumption of the extract at a later point in the Checkpoint Data file.
The Checkpoint Data file has the following characteristics:
File organization
Partitioned (DSORG=PO) or sequential (DSORG=PS)
Record format
Variable-blocked (RECFM=VB)
Logical record length
