To allocate a cluster
Perform the following steps on the VSAM Utility panel.
- In the Option field, enter AK.
- In the Dataset name field in the Specify Dataset Information area, enter FASAMP.EMPLOYE1.
- In the Processing Option field, enter B to request batch and IDCAMS processing.
- In the Dataset name field in the Specify Model Dataset Information area, enter FASAMP.EMPLOYEE.
- Press Enter.
File-AID displays the Allocate New VSAM Cluster screen as illustrated in Allocate New VSAM Cluster Screen.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
