PREV

The PREV command displays the previous segment in the current record. This command is used only when browsing or editing segmented records, and after one or more successful NEXT commands.

The command is available in the Browse and Edit functions in Formatted mode.

You can use the PREV command to page backward through previous segments.

Using the PREV command at the first (base) segment produces the message: ALREADY AT FIRST SEGMENT.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
