Input Dataset Specification panel
The following figure allows you to specify the input dataset, record layout, and Dynamic Privacy Rule information to disguise data based on a Privacy Project that has already been defined using the Data Studio’s Data Privacy plugin of the Workbench for Eclipse.
The following figure shows the Input Dataset Specification Screen for the Data Privacy option.

Field descriptions
Specify input dataset information:
Dataset name
Specify the name of the input dataset.
You can enter a pattern dataset name in this field to display a list of data sets from which you can make a selection. A pattern dataset name or mask consists of explicit characters or a combination of explicit and pattern characters. See Pattern Dataset Names in section Specifying-a-dataset-name for a complete description.
Member name
Specify the member name. You can leave this field blank or enter a pattern member name to display a list of members from which you can make a selection. A pattern member name or mask consists of explicit characters or a combination of explicit and pattern characters. See Pattern Member Names in section Specifying-a-dataset-name for a complete description. Pattern names cannot be entered in both the Dataset name and Member name fields at the same time.
Disposition
Specify OLD or SHR as the data set must already exist and cannot be an empty data set.
I/O exit name (Optional)
If the I/O exit option has been installed, this input area is provided. For more information, see in the File-AID/Data Solutions product configuration or your system programmer. I/O exit install options (IOXDEF) are:
NO
I/O exit name field is not presented.
YES
I/O exit name field is presented blank for entry of a site written I/O exit program name.
exitname
I/O exit name field is presented prefilled with the name of a site-written I/O exit program.
Specify Record Layout Information:
Record Layout usage
Specify one of the following values:
S | Single record layout. Specify when one record layout is needed for a file to apply the Dynamic Privacy Rule. |
X | XREF (record layout cross reference). Specify when more than one record layout is needed for a single file to apply the Dynamic Privacy Rule. |
Record layout dataset
Specify the name of a data set that contains the Assembler, COBOL or PL/I record layout. This file must be specified whether the Record layout usage field is S (single) or X (XREF). For more information, see Record Layout Dataset in section Data-set-types.
Member name
Specify the name of an existing Assembler, COBOL or PL/I record layout member.
XREF dataset name
Specify the name of a data set that contains the record layout cross reference (XREF) members to use with multiple record type data sets. See Record Layout XREF Dataset in section Data-set-types.
Specify Dynamic Privacy Rule Information:
Repository name
Specify the name of the repository to use for the Data Studio’s Data Privacy Dynamic Privacy Rules project you specify in the Project name field.
The repository name field is 128 bytes and is case sensitive. It is entered in free form text. The repository name will be used exactly as entered.
Or enter an asterisk (*) by itself which will present a list of all Data Studio’s Data Privacy repositories, if at least one exists. Then, you can select the desired repository from the list (see Privacy Repository List Screen).
Project name
Specify the name of the Privacy Project containing the dynamic privacy rules you want to apply to the current Input Dataset for the Data Privacy option. You create a Privacy Project with the Data Studio’s Data Privacy plugin of the Workbench for Eclipse.
The project name field is 128 bytes and is case sensitive. Enter the project name in free form text; it will be used exactly as entered. Do NOT use beginning and/or ending quotes; they are considered part of the project name.
When specifying the full name or a pattern for the Privacy Project name, Data Solutions displays a list with matching projects. The following wildcard characters are available at the end of a pattern: *, %, and ?. An asterisk (*) by itself list all projects. Select the desired project from the list.
Privacy repository list
The following figure lists all Data Studio’s Data Privacy Repositories when you specified an asterisk (*) in the Repository name field and Data Solutions finds at least one repository.
Select the desired repository name and press <Enter> .
