Defining data disguise criteria
This section introduces the Data Disguise function for related extracts. It requires that you also have File-AID/Data Solutions installed and configured at your site.
To illustrate the Data Disguise function, you will:
- Specify the File-AID/Data Solutions parameters for the Data Disguise function
- Define disguise criteria for objects in the extract
- define related criteria
- define associated criteria and assign associated rules
- define unrelated criteria
- Execute extract with disguise enabled
- Disguise existing extract file
Preparations for the Data Disguise Translate Functions:
For the disguise sample criteria to be defined in this section, you will need to create your own translate tables based on the models in the following images. Sample Company Names - COMPNAME displays sample company names which we will call COMPNAME. You can populate your sample table using this example, or by creating fictitious names of your own. Sample Social Security and Credit Card Numbers - SSANDCC displays sample Social Security and Credit Card numbers, which we will call SSANDCC. Copy and paste the text from the sample images shown below, or create your own, into a PDS with LRECL of at least 30. You may use standard DCB parameters of RECFM=FB, LRECL=80, DSORG=PO and any suitable BLKSIZE. For the purposes of the examples in this section, name your PDS “TSOID01.TRANSLAT”.
