File-AID for Db2 Object Administration System variables window


The File-AID for Db2 Object Administration System Variables window displays when you select SYSTEM VAR from the Profile Display Menu (see the following figure).

The SYSVAR selection displays the System Variables window The fast-path command for this window is MENU.PRO.SYSVAR. It is also available by executing the SHOW command with the SYSVAR keyword.

Tip

You cannot change system variables in this window.

Units Table

Blank, not used with File-AID for Db2 Object Administration.

Object Select Table

The name of the table your profile uses to store information about objects selected for various File-AID for Db2 Object Administration functions.

Save Query Table

Blank, not used with File-AID for Db2 Object Administration.

Public Query Table

Blank, not used with File-AID for Db2 Object Administration.

Catalog Creator

The catalog creator and catalog prefix together specify the name of the catalog table to be accessed. Typically the values specified during installation are SYSIBM and SYS. File-AID for Db2 Object Administration then accesses the real system catalog by constructing names such as SYSIBM.SYSDATABASE. This value is part of the view profile.

CDB Creator

CDB Creator and CDB Prefix together specify the name of the communication database table to access. Typically, the values are SYSIBM and (blank). File-AID for Db2 Object Administration uses these values to access the communications database by constructing names such as SYSIBM.LOCATIONS.

DBA-XPERT DB

The default database name from your subsystem user profile. To change, see User Profile Display and Edit Window.

DBA-XPERT TS

The default tablespace name from your subsystem user profile. To change, see User Profile Display and Edit Window.

DBA-XPERT TS BP

The default bufferpool name (for tablespaces) from your subsystem user profile. To change, see User Profile Display and Edit Window.

DBA-XPERT IX BP

The default bufferpool name (for indexes) from your subsystem user profile. To change, see User Profile Display and Edit Window.

DBA-XPERT SG

The default storage group from your subsystem user profile. To change, see User Profile Display and Edit Window.

DBA-XPERT Plan

The plan File-AID for Db2 Object Administration uses as a default. This value is part of the view profile.

Language Release

File-AID for Db2 Object Administration’s current language release level.

DB2 Utility PROC

The Db2 utility PROC assigned during installation.

DB2 Version

The current Db2 Version.

DB2 Load

The current Db2 load library. File-AID for Db2 Object Administration supports concurrent access of multiple Db2 release levels.

DB2 Exit

The Db2 exit library assigned during installation of File-AID for Db2 Object Administration.

DB2 Subsystem

The current Db2 subsystem name; see Connecting to Db2 Subsystems.

Location

The location ID for system-directed access. The default is LOCAL.

Connect

The location ID for application-directed access. The default is LOCAL.

DB2 Catalog VCAT

The Db2 catalog VCAT.

DB2 Mixed Data Flag

The mixed data flag associated with the current Db2 subsystem.

DBA-XPERT Max Primary Cylinders

Maximum number of cylinders to use, as the primary quantity, when allocating a primary quantity, when allocating a data set.

DBA-XPERT Max Secondary Percentage

The percent of Max Primary Cyls to use, as the secondary quantity, when allocating a data set.

DBA-XPERT Available Cyl / Pack

The amount of available cylinders that is assumed to be on each pack.

DBA-XPERT Max Additional Units

The number of units to specify, in addition to the number that will be calculated by dividing the number of required cylinders by the available cylinders per pack.
