Views

The Views option screen displays when you select option 4 from the Object Selection menu. It lets you specify whether you want to create, drop, or model a view. The following figure shows a sample screen.

OPTION

Specify the letter representing the activity you want to pursue:

C	Create a view.
D	Drop a view.
M	Model a view and create a new view.

Specify View Information (* or pattern for list) Area

Creator

ID of the person creating the view. This field is required. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk), or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

View Name

Name of the view you want to create, drop, or model. This field is required. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk), or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

For Specify CREATE View Options (* or pattern for list) Area

Table Creator

ID of person who created the table for which you are creating a view. This field is required if you are creating a view. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk), or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.

Table Name

Name of the table for which you are creating a view. This field is required if you are creating a view. You can also specify a generic name with * (asterisk), or a pattern. This displays a selection window, from which you can select a specific object.
