OPTION
Enter the number representing the activity you want to pursue:
1 | Extract data from a single table to an extract file. This option includes extracting data from a table with XML columns, as well as options to extract only selected columns, and/or saving the extract file in delimited format. The Extract DB2 - Driving Object screen displays. |
2 | Load a single table using an extract file created with option 1, File-AID Extract for DB2, which may contain XML data. You cannot use this option to load an extract dataset created with a legacy function. |
3 | Extract from a table to a dataset. The Extract Options screen (Extract Options Screen) displays. Note: LOB and XML columns will not be extracted using this option. These column types will not appear on the template and existing SQL that contains these column types cannot be used to do a table extract. Since no data will be extracted for LOB and XML columns, a subsequent load using an extract file created with this option will not be successful if the table being loaded has LOB or XML columns that cannot be NULL. |
4 | Load from a dataset to a table. The Extract Selection Template (Extract Selection Template) displays. |
5 | Extract from a table and load into another table. The Extract/Load Options screen (Extract and Load Options Screen) displays.3 |
