BIND (BIND subcommand)

The BIND primary command generates statements for the BIND DSN subcommand. This command is valid for packages and plans.

The DSN subcommand BIND builds an application plan, which allocates Db2 resources and supports SQL requests made during execution. For individual packages or plans, use the BIND row command. See BIND (BIND Subcommand).

The parameter window that opens is the same window that opens for the BIND row command. See BIND (BIND Subcommand). Edit the parameters and press <Go> to generate the JCL. The DSN subcommand statements generated by this command are placed in the DSN subcommand work buffer. See Generating DSN Subcommands.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
