D (Delete)


Deletes one or more lines of data.

D

Deletes the line on which the command is entered.

Dn

Deletes the block of lines delimited by the line on which the command is entered, inclusively. The n represents the number of lines to be deleted. For example, D10 deletes ten lines. A valid entry is from 1 to 99999.

DD

Deletes the block of lines delimited by the two lines on which the command is entered, inclusively.
