Installing

Before installing, make sure you have reviewed all the information in the Planning section.

This section describes how to install, update, and configure the following BMC AMI DevX File-AID products:

  • File-AID Common Components
  • BMC AMI DevX File-AID/MVS
  • BMC AMI DevX File-AID/Data Solutions
  • BMC AMI DevX File-AID/RDX
  • BMC AMI DevX File-AID for Db2
  • BMC AMI DevX File-AID for IMS
     
Warning

Important

  • All products installed with File-AID Install Image are on the same release level. We recommend that you install and activate all of your licensed File-AID mainframe products at the same time to avoid compatibility issues between different release levels.
  • Configuration instructions for File-AID for IMS/CICS, File-AID for IMS/DC, and File-AID/EX Executive component for the File-AID/EX Enterprise Edition as well as supplemental configuration documentation for all File-AID products can be found in Configuring.
