Planning

Plan installing Data Studio as follows:

1. Order the  feature pack, including the latest maintenance, through BMC's Product Ordering web page or by contacting your BMC representative.
2. Make sure that your environment satisfies the system requirements and prerequisites specified in Verifying-prerequisites.

3. Install File-AID Services on either Windows or Linux by following the appropriate instructions in Installing-File-AID-services. You will need to access the FAS installation from either the  media or from the download provided with an RFN order. The versions of FAS, FARE, Data Privacy plug-in, and  client must match exactly.
