Task 2: To configure FAS communication ports
You can use the File-AID Services Configuration Utility allows you to override the default port assignments. The following default bi-directional port numbers are activated when FAS is installed:
- File-AID Services HTTPS port: 3081
- File-AID Services HTTP: 4180
- File-AID/Data Solutions interface port: 5180
- Communication manager port: 4901
You can also use the utility to change the port assignments configured with File-AID/EX and File-AID/Data Solutions (see Installing File-AID services and Task 3: To install File-AID Rules Engine (FARE) on z/OS UNIX).
Lastly, FAS uses default port 4082 to handle notification messages. This port is dynamic and is controlled by a notifications callback port preference that you can change by selecting Window > Preferences > BMC > Notifications.
For Windows
- Select Start > Programs > BMC > Server > Server Configuration shortcut to invoke the utility. The BMC File-AID Services Configuration dialog box appears.
- Select the Communications tab.
- Change the port numbers that you want to modify.
- Click OK.
- Stop and restart File-AID Services or the File-AID communication manager, depending on the port number that was changed..
For Linux
- In the directory containing the installed FAS, issue the shell command: ./runServerConfig.sh.
- Review and change any port numbers that you want to modify.
- Stop and restart File-AID Services service or the File-AID communication manager, depending on which ports were changed. See Task 5: To control FAS.
- Be sure to modify the Workbench for Eclipse configuration, File-AID/EX configuration, and/or Data Studio’s Data Privacy configurations to match your new port assignments.
