Task 5: To control FAS
For Windows
File-AID Services in Windows can be controlled from the Services Management page, which can be opened by typing services.msc in Windows > Run. Uninstall from the Add/Remove Programs management Windows utility.
You can also use the following commands:
Start command prompt
cd {FAS installation directory}/MMCServer/eclipse/bin/
platform.bat stop
platform.bat start
platform.bat uninstall
cd {FAS installation directory}/MMCServer/eclipse/bin/
platform.bat stop
platform.bat start
platform.bat uninstall
For Linux
Navigate to the subdirectory ~/MMCServer/eclipse/bin in the directory on which you installed and perform any of the following steps:
- To stop FAS, issue the following command./platform.sh stop
- To restart FAS, issue the following command./platform.sh start
- To uninstall FAS, issue the command./platform.sh uninstall
- To maintain FAS, see Task-6-To-apply-maintenance-to-FAS.
You can also use the following commands:
Start terminal
cd /{FAS installation directory} /MMCServer/eclipse/bin/
sudo ./platform.sh stop
sudo ./platform.sh start
sudo ./platform.sh uninstall
cd /{FAS installation directory} /MMCServer/eclipse/bin/
sudo ./platform.sh stop
sudo ./platform.sh start
sudo ./platform.sh uninstall
