Security Property File
During File-AID/EX installation, a security property file is created for the local execution server on port number 4900 (default). This file specifies that all users can use any File-AID/EX execution server running on that port. Multiple execution servers can run on different port numbers, and a separate security property file is created for each port number. Valid port numbers include 1 through 65,535.
If there is no security property file with the correct port number, only the user who started the execution server will be able to run against it. When running File-AID/EX from UNIX, this means that no one can run against the File-AID/EX execution server since the UNIX user ID that started the execution server does not have a Windows domain.
The security property file is located in the Topaz workspace at the following default path: C:\Users\<current user>\Compuware\Workbench\workspace\.com.compuware.fileaid.ex\cfg\security
Users can add or remove the user IDs in the security property file from the File-AID/EX Homebase window. For more information see, Execution-Server-Security-Settings.
