Execution Server Security Settings


Perform the following steps to change the users who are authorized to run against a File-AID/EX Execution Server.

To add or remove user access to the Execution Server

  1. Start Homebase. The File-AID/EX Homebase window appears.
  2. Do either of the following:

    • From the Tools menu, select Execution Server Security.
    • Click ExecutionServerSecyBtn.jpg.

    The Execution Server Security dialog box appears.

  3. Type the port number for which to edit settings. Valid port numbers are 1 through 65,535. The default is port number 4900.
  4. Click OK. The Execution Server Security Settings dialog box appears. The users authorized for that port number appear in the Users box. The default is ALL_USERS.
  5. To change the authorized users, do any of the following:
    • Click Allow All to allow all users to access the execution server running on this port.
    • Select an existing user and click Remove to remove access from this user.
    • Click Remove All to remove access from all users shown in the Users box.
    • Click Allow to add authorized users. The Allow User dialog box appears. Do the following:
      • In the field, type the ID of the user to authorize to run against this port number.
      • In the field, type the domain for that user ID.
      • Click OK. In the box, the keyword ALL_USERS is automatically removed and replaced with the domain and user ID of the authorized user.
      • Repeat these steps for each user to authorize for this port number.
  6. Click OK to save changes for this port number.
