Execution Server Security Settings
Perform the following steps to change the users who are authorized to run against a File-AID/EX Execution Server.
To add or remove user access to the Execution Server
- Start Homebase. The File-AID/EX Homebase window appears.
Do either of the following:
- From the Tools menu, select Execution Server Security.
- Click
.
The Execution Server Security dialog box appears.
- Type the port number for which to edit settings. Valid port numbers are 1 through 65,535. The default is port number 4900.
- Click OK. The Execution Server Security Settings dialog box appears. The users authorized for that port number appear in the Users box. The default is ALL_USERS.
- To change the authorized users, do any of the following:
- Click Allow All to allow all users to access the execution server running on this port.
- Select an existing user and click Remove to remove access from this user.
- Click Remove All to remove access from all users shown in the Users box.
- Click Allow to add authorized users. The Allow User dialog box appears. Do the following:
- In the field, type the ID of the user to authorize to run against this port number.
- In the field, type the domain for that user ID.
- Click OK. In the box, the keyword ALL_USERS is automatically removed and replaced with the domain and user ID of the authorized user.
- Repeat these steps for each user to authorize for this port number.
- Click OK to save changes for this port number.
