Mapping Source Data to Test Data
ComparePro automatically maps baseline data to test data using the Automap feature. By default, fields are mapped in the order they appear in the file or table. However, using the Preferences dialog box, ComparePro can match fields based on name, type, size, or any combination of these.
After defining baseline and test data, you can manually match fields, using the Field Pairing window.
First you map your baseline fields (see Field Pairing Baseline Fields Tab), then map your test fields (see Field Pairing Test Fields Tab). Click the Field Pairing tab to see your Baseline to Test Field Pairs (See Field Pairing Field Pairing Tab).
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
