Data Compare Overview

Using Data Compare, users can compare data across any combination of supported data types, including databases, text files, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and XML as a table. After selecting the type of data to compare, the Data Connection Wizard walks through the steps needed for the comparison. The maximum number of tables or files allowed in a data compare is 100.

To create a new data compare

From the File menu, select New > Basic Data Compare.
