Common Command Buttons


Each of the wizard windows in File-AID/EX contains common command buttons. Possible command buttons include:

Command

Description

Apply

Click the Apply button to activate your modifications, parameters, or settings. This command button performs the same function as the OK button, except it does not close the current window.

<Back

Click the Back button (or press ALT-B on your keyboard) to return to the previous wizard window.

Browse

Click the Browse button to open a dialog box that lets you find a file either on your system or a mapped network drive.

Cancel

Click the Cancel button to stop the processing of your wizard.

Done

This command button takes you to the save window. Use this button when you have completed making all modifications to this window.

To use this button, click it once with your mouse pointer or press ALT-D on your keyboard.

Execute

Click the Execute button (or press ALT-E on your keyboard) to complete your wizard.

Finish

Click the Finish button (or press ALT-F on your keyboard) to complete the wizard. It is usually not activated until the last window in the wizard. Clicking this button executes the function of the wizard using all options or settings chosen up to this point.

Help

Click the Help button (or press the F1 function key) to display help on an active control or window.

Next>

Click the Next button (or press ALT-N on your keyboard) to proceed to the next wizard window.

OK

Click the OK button (or press ALT-O on your keyboard) to accept message windows or decisions displayed by File-AID/EX or to confirm an action.

Print

This command button lets you send the information on the window to your default printer. Sending data to a printer can provide an easier method for checking data that is too large to fit on one window.

Click or press ALT-P on your keyboard.
