Task List Status Area – In Process Messages

This section provides information about task List Status Area-In Process Messages

Task List Status Area

The Task List Status area is used to provide various alerts and information about Tasks. It also provides information about Operations that are currently executing or “In Process” (IP). As an example, the status IP: G (A) USER003 is highlighted (in red) in the following figure.

IP: Prefix for In Process

The IP: prefix means the Task operation is currently being performed in the background (but not in a Set).

The operation code is shown next. In the preceding figure, this is a G or Generate operation.

The final part of the message describes further details. For example, (A) USER003 means that it is currently in Asynchronous mode and the User USER003 requested the operation.

SP: Prefix for Set Process

The SP: prefix means the operation is being performed in a Set Process. For example, following figure shows a Status of SP: P Approval Reqd.

The operation code is P for a Promote operation. The final part of the message describes the current status. For example, Approval Reqd means that the Set is waiting for Approvals to be made before it can continue.

DP: Prefix for Deploy in Set Process

The DP: prefix means the Deploy operation is being performed in a Set Process. As an example, the statuses DP: Staged and DP: Failed are highlighted in the following figure.

The status shown for Deploy is called the “Set Deploy Status”, a relatively new Status derived from the different statuses of all participating Deploy Requests (one per Deploy Environment). Status values are listed in the following table.

DP Statuses

Status

Description

Confirmed

All Deploy Requests have been Confirmed.

Staged

Staging is complete for all Deploy Requests.

Implemented

Implementation is complete for all Deploy Requests. Activation is still required on at least one.

Completed

All Deploy Requests have been completed.

Warning

Important

A status of Completed does not necessarily mean that every step in the deployment process (Adaptation, Implementation, and Activation) has been successful.

Failed

One or more Deploy Requests has Failed.

Terminated Requests

If a Deploy Request is Terminated, as far as the Set is concerned, deployment for that Request is complete.

Set Deploy Status

These Set Deploy Statuses are also displayed on the Modify Set screen, where they are suffixed by the word “Deploying” as shown in the following figure:
