Milestone 5: Create Configuration Environment
This milestone contains tasks for specifying configuration details for Code Pipeline. It should be performed for both new installations and upgrades so that the values specified are saved for future upgrades.
Task 5.1 Launch the Installation Configuration dialog
To launch the Installation Configuration, execute the $$SETUP EXEC provided in the SPWMINST data set.
On the Command line, type TSO EX followed by the fully-qualified library name and REXX EXEC member name.
The initial Valid Environment Values screen (Specifying the Work Dataset) is displayed.

Notes:
1 The Repository Dataset will be used to save and store
information entered in the installation panels as well
as some generated samples and JCL.
2 The Repository Dataset may be used when applying
maintenance to Code Pipeline at a future date.
3 The Repository Dataset may be used when upgrading to
new releases of Code Pipeline in the future.
Task 5.2 Specify the Code Pipeline Repository Dataset
The Validate Environment Values screen is used to specify the “Work” dataset. This is where all the JCL and customized members used throughout the installation and configuration of Code Pipeline will be stored.
- Type the name of the “Work” dataset in the Installation and Configuration Repository Dataset field and press Enter. Your value is saved, and the main menu for the Code Pipeline Guided Configuration dialog is displayed (Guided Configuration Dialog Main Menu).
