Managing approvals

In BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline, an approver is a resource to which individual user IDs can connect via your security product.

A set is a temporary collection of tasks that make up a project, work package, or change request.

As a Code Pipeline approver, you can perform the following tasks on the Approvals page:

  • Examine a set and associated tasks
  • Take necessary action before signing the tasks off
  • Perform allied Code Pipeline lifecycle functions

Important

To use Code Pipeline Web, you must first add an active host connection to connect to the BMC AMI DevX Code Pipeline mainframe product. For more information, see Using-a-host-connection-to-access-Code-Pipeline-web

When you click Code Pipeline from the CES landing page, the Approvals page in Code Pipeline web is displayed listing all approvals in the Code Pipeline system and their statuses. The table on this page includes the following details for each set:

  • Application or system that the container is associated with
  • Code Pipeline set that the approval request was created for
  • Group or role of which a user is a part to move modules through the lifecycle
  • User ID of the person who created the container
  • Overall status of the approval
  • Status of the set
  • Level structure and other rules about the application definition

On the Approvals page, you can perform the following actions:
