Using the Visualizer Control Buttons
While the runtime visualization is being created, you can use the
Stop button to terminate the building of the visualization or the
Pause button to temporarily halt it. A runtime visualization that is paused or has not begun building can be started with the
Play button.
When the runtime visualization completes, the
Stop and
Play buttons are dimmed because their actions are not available. You can return to the start of execution and step forward and backward through the entire series of execution events as follows:
- Click the
First Event button to return to the start of execution. - Click the
Last Event button to go to the end of execution. - Click the
Step Backward and
Step Forward buttons to move backward and forward.
You can also use the keyboard arrow keys to move up and down through the list of events in either of the Events views.
